“Fake Life” is a poem about socialites who live in debt just to impress their followers.

FAKE LIFE
In a digital realm where facades abound,
A tale of faking life, where truth is drowned,
Through social media’s glimmering haze,
A story unfolds, a modern-day craze.
Borrowing money, chasing empty dreams,
Drowning in debts, where nothing is as it seems,
To impress the masses, seeking validation’s call,
Lives built on illusions, destined for a fall.
Expensive clothes and jewelry, borrowed shine,
A charade of high status, a fragile line,
Trading authenticity for shallow applause,
Caught in a web of lies, a never-ending cause.
Likes and comments fuel the ego’s fire,
But beneath the surface, hearts grow tired,
For happiness purchased with borrowed gold,
Leads only to emptiness, as truths unfold.
In the chase for perfection, a hollow game,
Losing oneself, forgetting one’s own name,
But dear friend, let me share a truth profound,
True worth lies within, where authenticity is found.
Shed the mask, release the burden’s weight,
Embrace the genuine, for it’s never too late,
Free from the chains of false representation,
Rediscover the beauty of genuine celebration.
For a life well-lived is not measured in likes,
But in moments of joy and love that strikes,
Embrace your true self, unapologetically,
And let your spirit soar, authentically free.
So let’s break the cycle, defy the facade,
Choose substance over image, the real over the flawed,
For in embracing our truth, we find liberation,
A life of purpose, beyond mere imitation.
